The Mughal Dastarkhwan

₹1,200

Dastarkhwan in persian means “a great spread” and it literally defines the food expedition that you are going to embark in this single stretch of back to back eateries which serve signature Mughlai cuisine. Thousands of plates of food being served everyday in the backdrop of 358 years old architectural legend would not let you disassociate for even once from the city’s significantly rich past.

Mughal Dastarkhwan

To hint at what is in store for you – Al Jawahar has an array of Curries, Biryani and traditional breads like Tandoori Roti and Sheermal to bowl you over, but it’s always safe to resist and get bites of Haji Mohammad Hussain’s Fried Chicken and Fried Fish first. Aslam Chicken’s Tikkas and Kebabs grilled over charcoal and immersed in Desi Ghee will take you to another level of indulgence and yet that is not it.

The Gulab Jamuns and Phirni (Rice pudding set in clay cups) will satisfy your sweet tooth and give respite from all heat from the spices, and this will announce the end of your extended meal. The list of places is inexhaustive and hence it’s okay to starve yourself before the feast.
