Poo-nah! NO, It’s Poo-nay!

And that’s where the Pune city starts; with its subtitles of being the ‘Oxford of the East’, the city of youths. It sprawlingly locates itself in the western ghats having itself cascaded with beautiful greenery. Pune is like a generation that has moved from hippie to yippee. It is modern and yet with a historical touch.

It has a nightlife to die for and is also the cultural capital of Maharashtra. From Misal Pav to German Bakery, Sinhagad Fort to Khadakwasla Dam, Sunburn Festival to International Film Festivals, knowledge hubs to peaceful resorts, say it and it has all. The location of the city calls for a peaceful semi arid climate.

And after a big tiring day as I sit on Parvati Hill and look over the city, with every glance I want to go deeper inside the city.
