Awestrich is currently present in Mumbai, Delhi and Varanasi. We will be expanding to other cities in India really soon.

Booking an experience is a simple 3 step process –

Safety and security is Awestrich’s no. 1 priority. Each and every native is personally interviewed and reviewed by our team of experts. If you have any questions regarding safety, please feel free to contact us on support@awestrich.com.

Exact location details of the experience will be conveyed to you directly by your native. Some experiences will require you to reach the location by your own whereas some experiences will have the native arrange for a pickup. If you have any questions regarding the location you can either contact your native or mail us on support@awestrich.com. We will be more than grateful to guide you.

Every designed experience is first supervised and reviewed by our team of experts for quality, safety, reliability and originality. In addition, only guests who have previously attended and booked an experience can leave a review. 

  • In the case of cancellation by any guests, Awestrich provides cashback and not refunds.
  • Cancellation policies are really simple to understand – Natives provide 1 of the 3 policies for guests – Flexible, Moderate and Strict on experiences.
  • Flexible Cancellation – Flexible cancellation allows guests to cancel the experience 48 hours prior to the start time to avail a full cashback.
  • Moderate Cancellation – Moderate Cancellation allows guests to cancel an experience 7 days prior to the start time to avail a full cashback
  • Strict Cancellation – Strict Cancellation allows guests to cancel an experience 14 days prior to the start time avail a full cashback.
  • Any experience can be canceled 15 days prior to the start date to avail a full cashback.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours of an experience will result in no cashback/refunds.

Weather

  • Natives make every effort to continue, as scheduled, with experiences. Should bad weather conditions create an unsafe scenario for guests or natives, a change or partial cancellation of an itinerary or activity may be the result. Should an individual experience be canceled by native or guest, or should an itinerary substantially change or result in a cessation of the trip, Awestrich will work with your native to provide an appropriate refund.

*Please note that the validity of the cashback voucher is 6 months from the date of issue and can be redeemed in any city in India.

  1. Clarity – There should be proper clarity between you and the native regarding the experience in terms of inclusions and exclusions. Do read them properly before booking.
  2. Arrive on time – It is very important to respect the native’s time. Remember to arrive for an experience on time for a perfect, proper and a complete experience.
  3. Behaviour –  An experience might have different guests. It is essential that you respect the native and other guests while enjoying the experience.
  4. Talk to everyone – Participation is the key to a successful experience. Ask questions, feel free and interact with everyone to make the most out of your experience.
  5. Leave a review – Always leave an honest review after your experience so that others can benefit out of your experience.
  6. Keep in touch –  Natives are local insiders. People like you and us. Keep in touch with them. Share photos and memories.
  7. Remember to book only via Awestrich – If you book via Awestrich you are protected under our Safety and Security Policy. If a native pushes you to directly book, kindly report them to us.

Young researchers, local history nerds, storytellers, teachers, culture enthusiasts, photographers, designers, performing and fine artists, home chefs, musicians, travel guides; literally anyone who has an ability to unveil the cultural layers of Mumbai can become a native.

Becoming a native is a simple 3 step process –

Awestrich takes a 25% commission on each successful booking. This charge is added to your experience cost. If you have any questions regarding the commission please feel free to contact the team on support@awestrich.com.

At Awestrich, our passion is finding amazing natives around the world and pairing them up with open-minded guests. The result is a unique experience, one that gives you peace of mind because it’s facilitated by a relationship based on trust. The commission helps us to keep the website running. We do not depend upon ads. We take care of your outreach by promoting your experience on online plus offline platforms.

You need to send us a scanned copy of a cancelled blank cheque on your name along with a government verified photo and address ID. The payment will be made to your bank account on a weekly basis.

Cancellation of your experience can be made 48 hours prior to the start of an experience so that guests are not taken by surprise. We understand that there might be emergencies, kindly call us on +91-7710082844, we will inform the guests on your behalf. In the case of a no show, guests are refunded in full.

  6. Remember to accept bookings only via Awestrich – If you accept bookings via Awestrich you are protected under our Safety and Security Policy. If a guest pushes you to directly book, kindly report them to us.
