Bengali Home Food Experience

From: ₹1,100

Bengali cuisine is a culinary style originating in Bengal, a region in the eastern part of the Indian Subcontinent. Bengali cuisine is known for its subtle (yet sometimes fiery) flavors, and its spread of confectioneries and desserts.

Malabar Mathi Curry, also known as fish curry, is an Indian dish with Chinese roots. It consists of sardines semi-stewed in a Kerala-style curry with assorted vegetables, such as okra or onions.

Chicken roll is one of the popular street-food originated from Kolkata. That’s why it is often called the “Calcutta Roll”. This is a roll where juicy morsels of spicy chicken are wrapped in Paratha that has been coated with egg!

If the popularity of Rasgulla, Sandesh and Mishti Doi is anything to go by, the Bengalis from Eastern India sure know a great deal about sweet making. This seems only natural since they are, as a group, known for having a sweet tooth!
